This policy is a uniquely designed insurance product to address the specific risks of Craft Traders and Padraic Smith has pioneered this policy in Ireland.
The cover provides Public/Products liability limit of indemnity of €6.5M at exhibitions, trade shows and markets. Cover applies anywhere in Ireland & the UK, with no limit to the number of shows you can attend.
Premiums start from €135.00 per year
We can also extend cover to include:
- Demonstrations, teaching and workshops specifically related to your craft.
- Cover on Stock, Equipment, machinery, own goods in transit, buildings, money.
- Products liability cover extensions for USA/Canada

When researching for Artists and Craft Workers Insurance, think about:
- Level of Cover
Make sure you get the highest level of cover possible.
- Public Liability
Are you covered for accidents on your booth at tradeshows, events, demos and workshops?
- Product Liability
Are you covered against your product malfunctioning/breaking and harming an individual?
- Areas
Does the policy cover just Ireland or other countries too?
- Limits
Are strict limits imposed on the number of shows and events you can attend? Look for flexibility with a policy with no limits on show attendance.
- Property
Is your studio or workshop covered? Does the policy cover you against being unable to work in your premises due to flood, fire, etc?
- Stock/Machinery & Goods In Transit
Does the policy provide cover for your stock and machinery. What about your goods/equipment when in transit?
- Employer's Liability
Does the policy provide this and at what level of cover? Look for the highest possible (currently at €13M)
- Personal Accident
What if you could no longer work due to a serious injury at work? Will the policy provide an ongoing salary and for how long?
- Demos & Teaching
Does your policy cover only you and your staff, meaning that you cannot have non-employees in your premises? This is very important if you wish to run demos and workshop sessions to cover against injuries to participants.
